About the Position
This is a highly skilled position that represents the tip of the spear for AGS Manufacturing, Inc (AG Stacker). The selected individual will gain specialized skills from working in the field and installing our innovative machines. They will get to meet our clients and train their machine operators on how to use our systems. Significant travel, up to 90%, is involved in this position. When not traveling, the individual will assist in machine assembly at our shop in Weyers Cave, VA. The Service Technician will be working on their own in the field but can contact our home team for support. It is critically important that the selected individual uphold a high degree of professionalism due to face-to-face interactions with customers. Essential Work Activities

• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
• Inspect components of industrial/electrical equipment for accurate assembly and installation.
• Inspect equipment for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires, and diagnose electrical problems.
• Test mechanical and electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, and replace worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking and cleaning equipment.
• Coordinate efforts with coworkers involved in installing or maintaining equipment.
• Quality control analysis, electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, and systems analysis.
• Any miscellaneous duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Environmental / Physical Demands
This employee must diligently follow all safety protocols to avoid the risk of electrical shock. They will work near moving or operating machinery throughout the shift and may infrequently work in high and precarious places.

This employee will be very mobile, working in numerous positions throughout the day. This includes reaching with hands and arms, walking, standing, kneeling, balancing, crouching, and crawling occasionally.

• Lifting weight and exerting force: must be comfortable lifting up to 10 lbs throughout the workday, up to 25 lbs frequently, and 50-100 lbs occasionally.
• Vision: must possess close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
Years of Experience:  2-4 in electrical field
Education:  High School / G.E.D / College
Licenses or Certificates:  Journeyman’s Electrician / OSHA 10, 30 is a plus
